She was born in Pearson to the late John McGovern and Eulice Douglas Summerlin. Mrs. Jordan grew up in her young life in Pearson and lived most of her life in Waycross. She was a Master Cosmetologist and owned “Imogene’s Beauty Shop” for 52 years. Mrs. Jordan was a member of Calvary Ba Baptist Church and the Leah Sunday School Class. She was a past President of th the Okefenokee Garden Club and a member of the Federated Garden Club. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Waylon R Robert Jordan; two children, Mary Jay Williamson and Andrew Williamson; four s sisters, Kay Walters, Elizabeth Summerlin, Edna Roberts and Myrtice Giddens; f four brothers, Veryl Summerlin, Jeff Douglas, J.T. Douglas and Fed Douglas. Survivors include, daughter, Jana Walker and husband, Wade, Waycross; son, Jon Jordan and wife, Dde, Blackshear; step-son, Gerald Beverly and wife Sue, Fl Florence, AL; sisters, Joann Clemons, Orlando, FL and Ella Mae Pope, Waycross; br brother, J.B. Douglas, Alexandria, LA; sixteen grandchildren, Christopher, Jo Jordan, Jacob, and Landon Walker, of Waycross, Loran, Jon Camrom and Addison Jo Jordan all of Blackshear, Wynn, Jessica and Jacob Riggins of Waycross, Dee Mc McDurmont, Columbus, Todd McDurmont, Waycross, Jerry Beverly, Miami, FL, Blake Be Beverly, Snellville, Suzanne Humphries, Matthew Humphries both of Florence, AL; se several nieces, nephews and other relatives. Funeral services will be held Wednesday afternoon at 3 p.m. at Calvary Baptist C Church. Burial will follow in Oakland Cemetery. The family will receive friends Tuesday evening from 6 – 8 p.m. at the funeral ho home. The family requests the Leah Sunday School Class and the Federated Garden Club t to serve as Honorary Pallbearers. Miles-Odum Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
