Atkinson County Citizen - July 4, 2010
 Cranford C. Sutton, son of the late Caulie and Myrtice Finley Sutton of Atk
Atkinson County, GA, passed away at the age of 76 after an extended illness on Jul
July 4, 2010 at his home in Willacoochee.
 He is survived by cousins and many, many close and dear friends.
 Cranford attended Berry College and graduated from the University of Georgia. H
He completed post graduate studies in piano, organ and counseling. Cranford r
retired after more than 30 years of working in public education in Atkinson and C
Clinch counties.
 He had a rich career in creating and directing high school choral groups, ense
ensembles and marching bands. He was, for many years, a high school guidance coun
counselor and impacted many student's lives over the years.
 Music was a life long passion. He played classical organ and piano giving con
concert level performances to the delight of his many friends and family. He was
was truly loved by many and will be missed deeply.
 A memorial is being planned in his honor and will be announced as soon as ar
arrangements are finalized.
