Atkinson County Citizen - December 8, 2008
 Mr. Lonnie Herbert Taft, age 64 of Nashville, GA passed away Monday, December 
8, 2008 at Berrien County Hospital in Nashville, following an extended illness.
 A native of Atkinson County, Mr. Taft was born March 23, 1944, son of Ira and 
Seatie Smith Taft. He worked in the logging business.
 Survivors include, wife, Lori Drew Taft of Nashville, GA; son Anthony Taft of 
Nashville, GA; daughter, Mary Ann Johnson of Nashville, GA; stepdaughter, 
Amanda Neeley of Nashville, GA; brother, Johnny Taft of Axson, GA; sisters, 
Shirley Murray of Pearson, GA, Minnie Benefield of Nashville, GA; 6 
grandchildren, 2 step-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews also survive.
 Graveside funeral services for Mr. Taft were held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, 
December 10, 2008 at Sweetwater Cemetery with Bro. Steven Ouzts officiating. 
Special musical selections included, "Because He Lives" and "Amazing Grace" 
rendered by Charles and Tammy Wood with Charles Wood on guitar. 
 Serving as active pallbearers were Don Murray, Billy Murray, John Murray, Lee 
Spikes, Donny Stone, Lee Sorrell.
 Relihan Funeral Home of Pearson, GA was in charge of arrangements.
