She was a native and life long resident of Waycross. She was an employee and special part of Shoney's Restaurant for over 15 Years where her kindness and generosity touched the lives of many customers as well as the Shoney's family. She is the daughter of the late Cleo Taft. Survivors include two sons, Kevin Taft (wife Kerrie) of Waycross, and Keith Taft (wife Hollie) of Waycross; three grandchildren, Klara Taft, Katie Taft and Eli Taft; her mother, Clarice Morgan Dukes of Waresboro; two sisters, Susan Dukes (husband Jimmy) of Waresboro, and Debbie Leavens (husband Ray) of Axson; two brothers, Kendall Taft (wife Debra) of Waresboro and David Taft (wife Dorothy) of Waresboro; special cousin, Mary Lou Corbitt of Waycross; special aunt, Louise Jacobs of Willacoochee; and numerous nieces and nephews. A funeral service was held Thursday, May 22, 2008 at 2 p.m. at the Music Funeral Home Chapel. Burial was at Little Utah Cemetery in Axson. Rev. Clayton Davis and Rev. Richard Jerrers officiating. Pallbearers were nephews and honorary pallbearers were employees of Shoney's Restaurant in Waycross.
