(Bobby) Taylor, age 70, of Albany died Monday, October 8, 2007 in Mitchell County. Funeral services were conducted Thursday, October 11, 2007, at 11 a.m. at The Sylvester Lighthouse Church of God in Sylvester, GA. Rev. Jesse A. Hathway, Dr. H.W. Rutledge and Rev. Edgar Musgrove officiated. The interment followed at Sweetwater Cemetery in Pearson, GA at 3 p.m. Bobby Taylor was born June 28, 1937 in Pavo, GA to Elza J. and Martha Taylor. He was a member of The Sylvester Lighthouse Church of God in Sylvester. Mr. Taylor was a U.S. Army veteran serving during the Korean Conflict and was currently in the air compressor sales and service industry. Bobby Taylor lived to make his wife and family happy. He was know as a kind hearted man of God who always enjoyed the fellowship with the family of God, Mr. Taylor loved restoring old John Deere tractors and competing in the "Slow Race," Antique Tractor Pulls, and "Ugly Tractor" contests. He will be missed by his many friends, family and church family. Other than his parents, Mr. Taylor was preceded in death by a son, Ronnie Giddens. Survivors include his loving wife of 35 years, Mrs. Alline M. Taylor; sins, Larry and wife Belinda Giddens of Buford, Donnie and wife Vicki Giddens of Pearson; daughters, Shawn and husband Alan "Ish" Wynn of Albany, Jerrie and husband Rueben Berry of Albany; five grandchildren and their spouses, Joey and wife Melissa Warren of Norcross, Charles and wife Veanessa Giddens of Villa Rica, Kyle and wife Jennifer Giddens of Mayo, FL, Adrian Giddens of Douglas, Ashley Wynn of Albany; two great-grandchildren; four sisters, Betty Nelson of Cordele, GA, Barbara and husband Lee Easom of Vienna, GA, Bonnie and husband Dan Tanner of Georgetown, SC, Jimmie and husband Carl Turner of Montezuma, GA; brothers, Thomas and wife Mary Taylor of Cordele, GA, James Taylor of Oglethorpe, GA.
