A native of Coffee County, a part that is now Atkinson, she was born December 28, 1918, to Grover C. and Martha McKinnon Mancil. She was a homemaker and attended Antioch Missionary Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by three sons, William "Buddy" Troupe, Charles Raymond Troupe and Terrell "Terry" Troupe and one grandson, Matthew Troupe. Survivors include five sons, Grover Troupe and wife, Camilla, of Pearson, David Troupe and wife, Ruby, of Swanson, SC, Wendell Troupe and wife, Wilma, of Douglas, Larry Troupe and wife, Candy of Nashville, Donnie Troupe and wife, Carolyn of Nashville; two daughters, Jewell Dean Fender and Lizzie JoAnn Harper, both of Pearson; two sisters, Lizzie Watson and Beatrice Pat Walker, both of Pearson; 20 grandchildren, 27 great-grandchildren, three great-great- grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. June 5 at Antioch Missionary Baptist Church with the Revs. Andy Day and Victor Gilbert officiating. Musical selections included "Amazing Grace," "The Prettiest Flowers" and "Sweet Beulah Land" by Paul Hutchinson, Deward Buchan and Scott Roberts with Scott Roberts accompanying at the piano. Interment followed in Antioch Cemetery. Relihan Funeral Home of Pearson was in charge of arrangements.
