Atkinson County Citizen - November 17, 2011
 Mr. Grover Gene Troupe age 34 of Pearson, GA passed away Thursday, November 3, 
2011 at Coffee Regional Medical Center in Douglas, GA following a short illness.
 A native of Lakeland, GA, Gene was born on March 1, 1977, son of Grover Troupe 
and Mary Lois Griffis. He worked as a logger with Shepherds Logging and attended 
New Bethel Missionary Baptist Church. Gene was preceded in death by his father, 
Mr. Grover Troupe.
 Survivors include, son, Grove Gene Troupe, Jr.; daughter, Renee Lynn Troupe; 
mother Mary Lois Troupe of Douglas, GA; step-mother, Camilla Troupe of Pearson, 
GA, brother Tim Troupe and wife Allison of Douglasville, GA; sister Ruby 
Anderson and husband, Matt of Pearson, GA and niece, Rebecca Anderson. Several 
aunts, uncles and cousins also survive.
 Funeral services for Mr. Troupe were held at 2 p.m. Saturday, November 5, 2011 
at Relihan Funeral Home in Pearson, GA with Rev. Jimmie Spikes officiating.
 Special music selections were "Lead Me Home," "Who Would You Be Today," "I Can 
Only Imagine," and "Freebird" all by cd.
 The interment followed in Antioch Cemetery.
 Serving as active pallbearers were Keith Harper, Tim Troupe, Derek Tanner, 
Brandon Fender, Jason Griner, Brocks Fredricks.
 Relihan Funeral Home of Pearson, GA was in charge of the arrangements.
