Rites Wednesday for J. P. Tucker
 Final rites were held at 3 p.m. Wednesday, September 25, 1963 for Jacob 
Pearlie Tucker, 55, at St. Luke Baptist Church. Interment was in Rowe Cemetery.
 Pallbearers were nephews of the deceased.
 Mr. Tucker passed away Monday, September 23, at 7:30 p.m. in Irwin County 
Hospital, Ocilla, GA. The deceased was the son of Elonzo and Mary Paulk Tucker 
and was born May 20, 1908. He was a member of St. Luke Baptist Church in 
Alapaha and was caretaker of Brushy Creek Church near his home on Rt. 2, 
Ocilla, GA.
 Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Ella Mae Jowers Tuckers, Ocilla; six sons: 
Eulas Tucker, Douglas, GA, Burnell Tucker, Brunsick, Winston Tucker, Ocilla, 
Sherrill Tucker, Ambrose, Jack Tucker, Ocilla and Emory Tucker, U.S. Navy, 
Jacksonville, FL; seven sisters; Mrs. M. J. Spicer, Mrs. Tom Douglas, Mrs. 
George Handley, Mrs. Arthur Metts, all of Ocilla; Mrs. Ludie Hunter, Wray, 
Mrs. Waldo Myers and Mrs. Charles Royal, both of Rt. 4, Fitzgerald, GA.
 Paulk Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
