 Mrs. Marion Elaine Westman Vining, age 85, of Pearson, GA, passed away, Mo
Monday, October 15, 2012 at Coffee Regional Medical Center in Douglas, GA fo
following an extended illness.
 A native of Quaticook, Canada, Mrs. Vining was born June 11, 1927, daughter of A
Aaron and Vivian Westman. She was a long time resident of Pearson, GA where she w
worked for many years in the janitorial department for the Atkinson Co. School S
System. After Mrs. Vining retirement from the school system, she served as a c
caregiver for many local elderly residents of Atkinson County. She was preceded i
in death by her husband, Mr. Clyde Vining.
 Survivors include 4 sons, Bruce Vining and wife Marie of Nicholls, GA, Gary 
Vining and wife Jan of Lawrenceville, GA, Terry Vining and wife Diane of 
Pearson, GA, Allen Vining and wife Tina of Manor, GA; brother, Ron Westman and 
wife Thelma of Quebec, Canada; eight grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren and s
several nieces and nephews also survive.
 Funeral services for Mrs. Vining were held, Wednesday, October 17, 2012 at 2 
p.m. at Mt. Zion Baptist Church with Rev. Edward Mathews officiating. Special 
musical selections included, “Beulah Land” rendered by soloist, Derrick Soles 
with CD accompaniment and “Amazing Grace” rendered acapella by soloist, Derrick
Soles
Soles. Soft music for the prelude and postlude was provided by CD. 
 The interment followed in Mt. Zion Cemetery.
 Serving as active pallbearers were Brian Vining, Shawn Vining, Chris Norris, Brett
D
Brett Daniels, Derek Jacobs, Jim Jowers.
 Serving as honorary pallbearers were Ron Daniels, Hinky Mathews, David McDona
McDonald, Blake Vining, Quill James, L.H. James.
 Relihan Funeral Home in Pearson, GA was in charge of the arrangements.
