A native of Atkinson County, Ms. White was born October 28, 1934 daughter of John Glenn and Allie Mae Wilson White. She was a retired restaurant cook. She was preceded in death by brothers, John E. May, John Glenn White, Nephi Edwin White and sisters, Melda Colleen White and Cappie White Mizell. Survivors include 2 sons, Hiram Glenn Mullis and wife, Wilma of Nashville, TN and Clarence Mullis, Jr. of Pearson, GA; 1 daughter, Shirley Mobley and husband Rex of Corant, Miss; 1 brother, Jesse Lehi White and wife Billie of Pearson, GA; 5 sisters Janie "Lucille" Herrin of Pearson, GA, Hazel Moulder of Bruton, AL, Loretta Green and husband Brenton of St. Marys, GA, Betty Ann Clement and husband Marvin of Fort Lauderdale, FL and Ruby Bragg of Axson, GA. Five grandchildren, several great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews also survive. Graveside funeral services and interment for Ms. White were held at 2 p.m. Friday, November 26, 2004 at Utah Cemetery in Axson, GA with Rev. Hardy Crosby and Rev. Larry Johnson officiating. Special musical selections included "Where Angels Fear To Tread" and "Ain't No Grave Gonna Hold This Body Down," rendered by Allen Jewel, Jessie Wayne Jewell and Christina Harper with taped accompaniment. Serving as active pallbearers were Joe White, Mickey Herrin, Bryan Scotsch, James Frost, Fred Murray and Kenny Vining. Relihan Funeral Home of Pearson, GA was in charge of the arrangements.
