Atkinson County Citizen - September 2005
 Mr. Roscoe J. "Rocky" White, age 52, of Willacoochee, GA passed away Tuesday, 
September 6, 2005 in Orlando, FL following a  brief illness.

 A native of Atkinson County, Mr. White was born September 6, 1953 son of Glenn 
J. White and Harlene White Simmons Newbern. He was a truck driver for Vanguard 
Transportation and a U.S. Air Force Veteran.

 Survivors include wife, Peggy H. White of Willacoochee, GA; son Justin White 
of Willacoochee, GA; two daughters, Rebecca White Butler and husband Michael of 
N. Augusta, SC and Mary Elizabeth White Stargell and husband Shaun of Aiken, 
SC; one grandchild, Aubrey Stargell; and brother, Ronnie White and wife Cathy 
of Willacoochee, GA.

 Graveside funeral services and interment for Mr. White were held at 11 a.m. 
Saturday, September 10, 2005 at Utah Cemetery near Axson, GA with Bishop Steve 
Sirmans officiating. Special musical selections included "Ain't No Grave Gonna 
Hold My Body Down" and "When We Meet In Heaven" rendered by the Church of God 
of Prophecy Children's Choir with taped accompaniment.

 Serving as active pallbearers were: Bernard Fowler, Jerry White, Justin 
McBrayer, Kenny Lawrence, Brandon McDuffie, Herman Lewis.

 Relihan Funeral Home of Pearson, GA was in charge of the arrangements.
