Atkinson County Citizen - July 5, 2007
  Shirley Davis White, 57, of Waycross dies Saturday night June 30, 2007 at her 
residence after an extended illness. She was born in Douglas, GA to the late 
Willis and Mattie Hutchinson Davis. Mrs. White lived in Waycross since 1990 and 
worked at Life Christian Center as the Secretary. She was a member of Kettle 
Creek Church and Mike Brown's Adult Sunday School Class. She served as the 
Birthday Lady for the Soul House, a Past President of the Ladies Ministry and 
worked with the Children's Church. Mrs. White also supported Relay for Life.
 Survivors include her husband, James W. "Jimmy" White, Waycross, one son, 
Jason White (wife Wendy), Blackshear, two grandchildren, Jordan William White 
and Caitlyn Elizabeth "Caley" White; sister, Rudean Kidd, Douglas; several 
nieces, nephews and the extended family of Kettle Creek Church.
 A funeral service was held Tuesday  afternoon at 2 p.m. at Kettle Creek 
Church. Burial followed at Utah Cemetery.
 Miles Odum Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
