Atkinson County Citizen - August 21, 2008
  Mr. Owen White, age 30, of Axson, GA passed away Wednesday morning, August 
13, 2008 at Coffee Regional Medical Center in Douglas, GA from injuries 
received in an automobile accident.
  A native of Coffee County, Mr. White was born July 5, 1978, son of Jimmy and 
Marsha Adams White. A 1996 graduate of Atkinson County High School. Mr. White 
enjoyed hunting and mud bogging. He was a machinist operator at American 
Insulated Wire and attended Goodwill Assembly of God Church in Pearson, PA. Mr. 
White was preceded in death by his father, Jimmy White and maternal 
grandfather, Charles Adams.
  Survivors include; daughter, Layne White of Axson, GA; Finance, Peggy Legare 
of Axson, GA; mother and stepfather, Marsha and stepfather, Marsha and Bill 
Hornsby of Axson, GA; Stepfather, Wayne Davis of Axson, GA; sister, Cindy Davis 
of Axson, GA; maternal grandmother, Beulah "Tookie" Adams of Axson, GA; 
paternal grandparents, James and Lillie White of Axson, GA.
 Funeral services for Mr. White were held at 3 p.m. Friday, August 15, 2008 at 
the Goodwill Assembly of God Church in Pearson, GA with Rev. Edward Mathews and 
Rev. Byron Griffis officiating. The interment followed in Axson Cemetery.
  Serving as active pallbearers were Johnny Davis, Brandon Mullis, Clay Mizell, 
Jason Thrift, Landon Meeks, D.J. Leavens, Damon Mizell, Brad Mizell.
  Serving as honorary pallbearers were Cale Spivey, Dale Spivey, Paul Payton, 
Chase White, Brandon Davis, Eric Mizell, Mark Bennett, Raymond Gay, Winston 
Gourley, Tyrone Mullis, Kevin White, Deland Mullis, Kevin Dillingham.
  Relihan Funeral Home of Pearson, GA was in charge of the arrangements.
