Atkinson County Citizen - March 22, 2012
 Mrs. Billie Corbitt White, age 78, of Pearson, GA passed away Saturday, March 17
17, 2012 at Coffee Regional Medical Center in Douglas, GA following an extended il
illness.
 Born September 17, 1933 in Atkinson County, Mrs. White was the daughter of W
William F. (Bill) and Cleo Starling Corbitt. She was retired from the Atkinson C
County School System as secretary for Pearson Elementary. She and her husband L
Lehi had been married for 62 years. She was a member of Goodwill Assembly of G
God Church in Pearson but also attended many other area churches. She was p
preceded in death by a son, Johnny White and a sister Frances Gaskin.
 Survivors include, husband Lehi White of Pearson, GA; daughter, Janie Vining 
and husband Kenny of Axson, GA; sons, Jimmy White and wife Susan of Blackshear, 
GA, Jerry White of Pearson, GA, Joel White and wife Charlene of Pearson, GA.; 
sisters, Carol Gossage and husband Frank of Axson, GA and Ann Corbitt of 
Pearson, GA; brother, William F. (Mann) Corbitt and wife Debra of Pearson, GA; 
7 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews also s
survive.
 Funeral services for Mrs. White were held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, March 21, 2012 
at Ozias Baptist with Rev. Larry Johnson and Rev. Donnie Sloan officiating. The 
eulogy was given by Barbara Wall. Special musical selections included “Gods 
Walks the Dark Hills” and “Celebrate me Home” presented by CD. Soft music for the
prel
the prelude and postlude was played by Joyce Johnson pianist. 
 The interment followed in Utah Cemetery in Axson, GSA.
 Pallbearers were grandsons, Jonathan White, Joshua White, Keven White, Jason
White,
White, Mac Vining, Chad Courson.
 Relihan Funeral Home of Pearson, GA was in charge of the arrangements.
