A native of Clinch County, Mrs. Williams was born July 11, 1919, daughter of Will and Kizzie Corbitt Lewis. She worked as a final inspector at Lemars Garment Factory until her retirement. Mrs. Williams was a member of Sunnyside Freewill Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Rev. Everett J. Williams. Survivors include: 2 daughters: Margaret Williams of Pearson, GA Geraldine Dorminey and husband, J. W. of Hampton, FL; 5 grandchildren, 10 great- grandchildren and several nieces and nephews also survive. Funeral services for Mrs. Williams were held at 3 p.m. Wednesday, September 24, 2008 at Sunnyside Freewill Baptist Church with Rev. Teddy Burch and Rev. Buddy Mitchell officiating. Special musical selections included, "I want Us to be Together in Heaven" "Waiting at the River," and "We Shall Meet" rendered by the Sunnyside Church Choir accompanied by Lilla Deems, pianist. Soft music for the Prelude and Postlude was provided by, Lilla Deems, pianist. The interment followed in the Sunnyside Cemetery. Serving as active pallbearers were: Tommy Deems, Mitchell Demms, Clifford Taft, Billy Crowley, W.M. Smith, and Hardy Summerlin. Relihan Funeral Home of Pearson, GA was in charge of the arrangements.
