Atkinson County Citizen - April 3, 2014
 Arlean Batten Williams, age 85, of Pearson, GA passed away on Friday, March 28, 
2014, at her residence following an extended illness.

 Mrs. Williams was born on October 29, 1928, in Douglas, GA to the late Henry 
Batten and Nancy Carver Batten.

 Survivors include, her three daughters, Nancy William Futch of Pearson, GA, 
Lora Ann Pharis of Jasper, GA and Connie King of Pearson, GA; seven 
grandchildren, one great-grandchild, and several nieces and nephews. She was 
preceded in death by her husband, Fussell Williams.

 Graveside services were held on Sunday, March 30, 2014, at 2 p.m. at Royals 
Cemetery with Rev. Bobby Fussell officiating. Music was furnished for the 
service by congregation “Amazing Grace.”

 Active Pallbearers were William Fussell Futch, William Oliver King, Henry Tyler 
Pharis, Johnathan Pharis, Jason Patterson, David Burch.

 Sims Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
