 Mr. Billy Robert “Bill” Yawn, Sr., 78, of Willacoochee, GA passed away Monday 
April 29, 2013 at Shands Medical Center in Gainesville, FL following an e
extended illness.
 A native of Telfair County, Mr. Yawn was born April 23, 1935 son of Mose and M
Mattie Lou Cannon Yawn. He had made his home in Willacoochee for most of his l
life. He was retired from the U.S. Air Force and was a veteran of the Vietnam C
Conflict. He was also retired from Lockheed International and Saudi Arabia A
Airlines. His church membership was at the First Baptist Church in Willacoochee w
where he served as an usher and was a member of the Adult Sunday school class.
 Survivors include wife, Glenda Futch Yawn of Willacoochee, GA; son, Billy 
Robert Yawn, Jr. of Osaka, Japan; daughter, Diane Scarborough and husband Gary 
of Willacoochee, GA; sister, Geraldine Blong of Jacksonville, FL; 5 g
grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews also s
survive.
 Funeral services for Mr. Yawn were held on Thursday, May 2 2013 at 2 p.m. at 
Willacoochee First Baptist Church with Rev. Bill Huffstuttler officiating. 
Special music selections included “Where no one Stands Alone” rendered by the 
Church Choir and “Amazing Grace” by the congregation with Bonnie Kunberger acco
accompanying at the piano. 
 The interment followed in the Willacoochee City Cemetery.
 Serving as active pallbearers were Stan Clement, Daniel Clement, Clay Morris, Ry
Ryan Cribb, Keegan Meeks, Carter Cribb.
 Honorary pallbearers were members of the Adult Sunday School Class of the W
Willacoochee First Baptist Church.
 Relihan Funeral Home in Pearson, GA was in charge of the arrangements.
