If you have any wills that you would like to post here, please contact me at mmccook@bellsouth.net LAST WILL AND TESTAMENT OF JESSE M. PAFFORD STATE OF GEORGIA COFFEE COUNTY I, Jesse M. Pafford of said state and county being of sound and disposing mind and memory, do make this my last will and testament, hereby revoking all wills hereto-fore made by me. Item 1 - I wish my executor, as soon as possible after my death, to pay all my just debts. If a sale of property shall be necessary, I wish her to select for sale that which can be most advantageously used for that purpose. It is my desire for this purpose she shall first sell the house and lot in Pearson now known as the "Pafford Hotel" described as the East half of Block "6" bounded on the North by Shoofly Street, East by Main Street, South by the right-of-way of the Atlantic Coast Line Railroad and West by a fence dividing it from Land of Dr. Henry P. Smith. It is my desire should the above sale fail to provide sufficient funds to pay my just debts, that she shall select for sale such of my personality as can be most advantageously taken without injury to my estate. I authorize her to make said sales publickley or privately as she may deem fit and to the best interest of my estate and her welfare. Item 2 - I give and bequeath to my beloved wife, Martha E. Pafford, all of my property -- both real and personal--for and during her natural life. My purpose being to provide as ample and comfortable support for her while she survives as I may be able. Item 3 - I give and bequeath, after the death of my beloved wife, to my foster son, John Henry Pafford, my farm in the Seventh (7th) Land District of Coffee County, Georgia, comprised of Two hundred and Forty (240) acres of Lot No. Sixty-three (63) and Sixty-six (66) acres of Lot No Seventy-six (76), more fully described in the chain of Title Deeds now in my possession. Item 4 - I give and bequeath to my beloved daughter, Mrs. M. Ella Corbitt, after the death of my beloved wife, my farm in the Sixth (6) Land District of Coffee County, Georgia, comprised of Four Hundred and Thirty-Five (435) acres of Lot No Two hundred and five (205) and Forty five acres (45) of Lot No Two Hundred and Six (206), nore fully described in the cahin of Title Deeds now in my possession, the "Pafford Hotel" house and Lot in Pearson, hereinbefore nore fully located and described; all my personal property - consisting of household and kitchen furniture, live stock of every description farming implements and machinery, money, notes, accounts, choses in action, etc;etc; also buggy and harness. Item 5th - I do hereby nominate and appoint my beloved wife, Martha E. Pafford, the Executor of this my last will and testament to serve without making annual returns to or final settlement with the Ordinary. Item 6th - I hereby request to my trustd friend, B. T. Allen, in view of the feeble condition of my wife, and he being skilled in such matters, immediately after my death, to procure this my lst will and testament and see that it is properly probated and put in to affect, That he be reasonably compensated for such services.
