BACON COUNTY GA Deed - Johnson to Rockingham Cemetery File contributed for use in USGenWeb Archives by Barbara Winge barbarawinge@yahoo.com http://files.usgwarchives.net/ga/bacon/bible/johnson.txt STATE OF GEORGIA Bacon COUNTY This indenture, Made 15th day of January in the year of our Lord One Thousand Nine Hundred and Thirty-Five between Mrs. Mamie Johnson of the County of Bacon, Georgia, of the First Part, and Joe Johnson, Ophelia Johnson, E. D. Johnson, Lula Eunice and Anna Bell Carter, as Trustees for the Rockingham Cemetery of the County of Bacon and State of Georgia of the Second Part. Witnesseth, That the said party of the First Part, for and in consideration of the sum of one ($1.00) Dollars, in hand and paid, at and before the sealing and delivery of these presents, the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged, has granted, bargained, sold and conveyed, and by these presents does grant, bargain, sell and convey unto the said parties of the Second Part, and their successors, all that tract or parcel of land lyng and being in land lot Number 120 in the Fifth land District of Bacon County, Georgia, and being Three Fourths of one acre in the north portion of said lot and being the cemetery known as the J. L. Johnson family cemetary, Said property is bounded on all sides by other lands of Mrs. Mamie Johnson. The land hereby conveyeds is to be used for cemetary purposes only, and when no longer used for said purpose the title is to revert to Mrs. Mamie Johnson. To Have and to Hold, The said bargained premises, together with all and singular, the rights, members and appurtenances thereto the same being, belonging or in anywise appertaining, to the only proper use, benefit, and behoof of the said trustees of Rockingham Cemetary and successors forever in fee simple. And the said parties of the First Part, for her heirs, executors, and administrators, will warrant and forever defend the right and title of the above described property unto the said parties of the Second Part, successors against the claims of all persons whomsoever.
