L. Johnson, Jr. Died Thursday Afternoon Mr. J. L. Johnson, age 51 years died at his home here Thursday afternoon about 2 o'clock from Bright's Disease, from which he had suffered for several months. Several weeks ago he went to a sanitatium at Sandersville for treatment, and it was thought that he was much better, but when he returned home he gradually grew worse until the end came Thursday afternoon. The funeral services will be conducted from the Free Will Baptist Church, of which he was a member. The interment will be at Rose Hill Cemetery Saturday morning. Besides his widow, he is survived by five sons and two daughters. The sons are: Hilton of Waycross, Suel of LaGrange, Ottis, Erin, and Estus Johnson of Alma. The daughters are Mrs. E. M. Winge, of Alma and Mrs. Henry Harvey of Rockingham, all of whom were with him when death came. (James L. Johnson died Apr 21, 1921, Alma, GA)
