She died in Florida in 1935, and was returned to Newton for burial in an African-American church cemetery. Before Emma's marriage to Jimmie King, she was the wife of a Mr. Brown for whom she bore 2 children: Margaret and James "Kid" Brown. In 1920, the following children were in the household of Jimmie and Emma King: Pinkie, Jake, Amentha, Joseph, Leon, Dallas, Rutha, Rosa, and A. B. Additional Comments: Emma's mother was Maggie Clark Reese and her grandparents were Jake and Emma Clark. I need any and all information and photos about her, her family, her surroundings or any shred of evidence of her existence to aid my family research. Information about Jimmie King, born in 1876 in Camilla, Georgia would definitely aid my research of Emma. This file has been created by a form at http://www.poppet.org/gafiles/ File size: 1.5 Kb
