She was born in Lowell, Mass., and was the daughter of the late Francis and Gertrude Armstrong Price. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Commerce, where she was past president of its mission societies. She was a radiologist earlier in her career and later became a real estate agent, having been employed with North Georgia Realty in Maysville for ten years before retiring due to her health. Despite her health, four or five years ago Mrs. Roe started the thanksgiving dinners for Commerce through the United Methodist Church. She was very proud of this service to the community. She was a member of the Radiological Society, Maysville Community Improvement Club, Maysville Garden Club, and the North Georgia Writers Association in Gainesville. She was a kindhearted, good mother, neighbor, and friend, according to loved ones. Mrs. Roe was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Eugene Roe. Survivors include daughters and son-in-law, Stephanie and Steven Wheeler, Fort Hood, Texas, and January Roe, Commerce; sons, Chris Roe, Cleveland, and Phillip Roe, Maysville; three grandchildren, Cody and Ashleigh Wheeler, Fort Hood, Texas, and Allison Roe, Commerce; and a best friend since childhood, Mary Rouine Marsh, Merrimae, Mass. Funeral services were held Tuesday, September 12, at the First United Methodist Church of Commerce with Dr. David Bowen officiating. Burial was in the Sunrise Cemetery, Maysville. Memorial contributions may be made to the Hope Lodge, 1552 Shoup Court, Decatur, Ga. 30033. Little Ward Funeral Home, Commerce, was in charge of arrangements.
