Tunnell (chairman) and Mrs. Guy Wells (regent), as part of a project by the Nancy Hart Chapter of Daughters of the American Revolution, Milledgeville, 1939. G.M.D. 318 Predominant race: White Cemetery status: Inactive Cemetery has been destroyed. Only scattered bricks remain. DIRECTIONS: From the Baldwin County Courthouse, go west on Hancock Street for 2 blocks or 0.2 mile (or the one large block containing Georgia College & State Univ.). Turn right on Clarke Street. Go one large block or 0.2 mile. Turn left onto Highway No. 22 west (Montgomery St.). Go 2.4 miles. Turn right on Highway 212 west. Go 10.3 miles. Turn left on Lumpkin Rd (dirt). Drive 0.3 of a mile on Lumpkin Rd. Dismukes cemetery was on the left across the street from 129 Lumpkin Rd. and the Snead Family Cemetery. The graves were in the garden of the Old Dismukes Place on the left side of Lumpkin Rd. As you face the Dismukes property from Lumpkin, the cemetery was on the right side of the current driveway there. As of 1999, only a few bricks and stones under some trees could be found.
