Old files of the paper, 1812, 1813, 1814, 1815, 1816, are in possession of his great-granddaughter, Mrs. David Ferguson. Editor of a popular Journal, Senator, and financier, he served his country and adopted State as Lieutenant in the war of 1812, in Florida, under General Floyd.
