Funeral services will be held at 11am Saturday in the chapel of Moores Funeral Home. The Revs. Jim Nipper and Ron Smith will officiate. Burial will be in West View Cemetery. Mrs. Edison, a native of Laurens County, had lived in Baldwin County since 1936. She was one of the first employees of Baldwin County Hospital and had worked as a nurse for 51 years. She was a member of Hardwick Christian Church. Survivors include three daughters, Laura Dell Poole, Burnette Peeler, and Alma Jean Corbett, all of Deepstep; a sister, Laura Smith of Milledgeville; and seven grandchildren. Friends may call at the residence of Burnette Peeler and at the funeral home from 7 to 8:30 tonight. Additional Comments: Lena was born 3 Oct 1903 to W. D. "Willie" Stewart and Melise "Melia" Margaret Foskey Stewart. Her first husband was Thomas Allie Fountain and her second husband was Otis Edison. Georgia death certificate #029070.
