Another, and almost the last among the very old men has gone to "that bourne from whence no traveler returns." Mr. Fielding Lewis died at his residence in this city on Wednesday last. We learn he was about ninety years of age, and almost the whole of his long life was spent in this place. He was a remarkably quiet and unassuming gentleman, and lived very plainly even when, before the war, he was possessed of considerable wealth. He was very fond of hunting and fishing years ago, and passed much of his time in that way --- usually going alone. He enjoyed excellent health, never having known what it was to be sick, until within a year or two past, when he was afflicted with a cancer on the face, which affected his general health, and he became enfeebled, lost his appetite and finally took his bed, a few weeks ago. He was a good citizen --- retiring and inoffensive in disposition and of irreproachable character. Inheriting property he never entered the competition of business pursuits and his long life was one of comparative serenity and quiet. Peace to his ashes.
