H. Andrews, was buried this morning at 10:30 o'clock. The little girl's death was the result of burns received day before yesterday. This city is carpeted with bermuda grass, which burns rapidly when dry. It is the custom each winter and spring to burn the lawns and street borders. She and her little companions thought they could do what they saw older people doing. When the blaze sprang up it frightened the child, and she attempted to stamp out the fire, but her clothes ignitied and in spite of the efforts of Leo Joseph and others, who heard her cries and rushed to her, she was so badly burned that death resulted in eight hours.
