Funeral services will be at 2pm Saturday at Hardwick Christian Church. The Revs. Jim Nipper and Douglas Bush will officiate. Burial will be in Nunn- Wheeler Cemetery in Wilkinson County. Mrs. Smith was a native of Johnson County but had lived in Milledgeville for many years. She was a former employee of Central State Hospital and the former owner and operator of Smith's Grocery. She was a member of Hardwick Christian Church. Survivors include a daughter, Myrtle Turner of Milledgeville; nine grandchildren; and ten great-grandchildren. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hardwick Christian Church. The family will be at the church from 1pm until the funeral hour. Moores Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Additional Comments: Laura was born 12 Sep 1901 to W. D. "Willie" Stewart and Melise "Melia" Margaret Foskey Stewart. Her husband was James Terrell "J.T." Smith who is also buried at Nunn-Wheeler Cemetery in Wilkinson County. Georgia death certificate #055069.
