Chambers' Cemetery, named for John Early Chambers. Following Chambers' death, the land was sold to Paul Furr in what was, up to that time, the largest land sales transaction in Banks County history in which 2,068 acres were sold for $3,013 in December 1874. NOTE: The land where the cemetery is located was originally owned by John Chambers, but following his death, it was sold to Paul Furr in what was, up to that time, the largest land sales transaction in Banks County history in which 2,068 acres were sold for $3,013 in December 1874.
