Franklin County  } This Indenture made and entered into this Second day of 
January one thousand Eight hundred and fifty two between John W Pruitt of the 
County and State aforesaid of the one part and the worshipfull master wardens 
of Phideta lodge No 148, of the other part Witnesseth that the Said John W 
Pruit for and in consideration of the sum of one dollar to him in hand paid at 
and before the Seling of and delivery of these presents the receipt whereof is 
hereby acknowledged hath granted bargined and Sold and do by these presents 
Grant bargin and Sell unto William R Wilburn Worshipfull master D. G. Candler 
Segnior Warden & S. W. Pruitt Junior warden of Said Phidelta lodge and their 
Sucessors in office one acre of land whereon the Said Phi Delta lodge now 
Stands the meets and bounds of Said acre of land to run so as to make said 
lodge Stand in the center of Said acre Reserving perpetually the waste
of the Basement Story of Said lodge for a School room to have and to hold the 
above described premises to the Said Worshipfull Master and wardens of Said 
lodge for ever in fee simple and John W Pruitt further Garrentees to Said lodge 
the use of the necessary quantity of fier wood to gather with the right of a 
convenient way to Said lodge and will forever warrant and defend the title to 
the above described premises from the claim of himself his heirs and assigns 
and all Persons, Whatsoever Provided that Should Said lodge cease to work and 
forfeit their charter or alienate Said premises and Should Said Schools cease 
to be carried on then the Said premises to revert to the Said John W Pruitt 
Subject to be reclaimed at any time upon revival of Said Charter or the 
Reestablishing of Said Scool Given under my hand and Seal the day and year 
above written Signed Sealed and delivered in presence of,
