State of Georgia	}  Know all men by these Presents That I, John W. Pruitt
Banks  County         }  duly constituted administrator of the estate both real 
and Personal of Michael A Borders late of Banks County deceased by virtue of an 
order of the Court of Ordinary of Said County granted at the regular April term 
Eighteen Hundred and Seventy Six of Said Court (Notice of application for Said 
Order having been previously published in terms of the law) after advertising 
the Same for Sale in terms of the Law did on the first Tuesday in November 
eighteen Hundred and Seventy six within the legal hours of Sale put up and 
expose for Sale at public outcry before the Court House door at Homer in the 
County of Banks the Real Estate hereinafter described when the same was Knocked 
off to James O. Wood  of the County of Banks he being the highest and best 
bidder at the price of four hundred & fifty-six dollars.
Now for and in consideration of the said Sum of four hundred and fifty Six 
Dollars cash in hand paid by the Said James O Wood the receipt whereof is 
hereby acknowledged I, the said John W Pruitt as administrator as aforesaid 
have granted bargained and sold and do by these presents grant bargain and sell 
(so far as the office of administrator is authorized unto the Said James O. 
Wood the following described Real Estate to wit:  One tract of land in Said 
County, commencing on an Ironwood on the Hudson river running thence S 52 ½ W 
32.25 to a Rock thence S 62 E 14.64 W O. thence S 78 ½ E 24.75 to a H.Y. thence 
N 12 ½ E 29.00 to the Said Hudson River thence up Said River to the beginning 
adjoining W A Watson Oliver and others containing ninty acres more or less –
 To have and to hold the Same together with all the rights members and 
appurtenances thereunto belonging unto the said James O Wood his heirs and 
assigns forever in as full and ample a manner as the Same was Seized and 
possessed and enjoyed by the said Michael A. Borders at the time of his death—
In Witness Whereof I the Said John W Pruitt as administrator as aforesaid has 
hereunto Set my hand and affixed my Seal this Seventh day of December Eighteen 
hundred and Seventy Seven
