State of Georgia	}  Know all men by these Presents That I, John W. Pruitt
Banks  County         }  of Said County duly constituted Administrator of the 
Estate both real and personal of Michael A Borders late of Banks County 
deceased by virtue of an order of the Court of Ordinary of Said County granted 
at the regular April term Eighteen Hundred and Seventy Six of Said Court 
(Notice of application for Said Order having been previously published in terms 
of the law) after advertising the Same for Sale in terms of the Law did on the 
first Tuesday in November Eighteen Hundred and Seventy six within the Legal 
hours of Sale put up and expose for Sale at public outcry before the Court 
House door at Homer in the County of Banks the Real Estate hereinafter 
described when the same was Knocked off to James O. Wood  of the County of 
Banks being the highest and best bidder at the price of two hundred and Dollars.
Now for and in consideration of the said Sum of two hundred and One dollars 
cash in hand paid by the Said James O Wood the receipt whereof is hereby 
acknowledged By the said John W Pruitt as Administrator as aforesaid has 
granted bargained and Sold and do by these presents grant bargain and Sell (so 
far as the office of administrator authorized him) unto the Said James O. Wood 
the following described Real Estate to wit:  One tract of land in Said County – 
Beginning at a Rock and running thence N 2 ½ W 36.20 to a R O thence N 54 ½ W 
12.12 to a Rock thence S 43 ½ W 16.71 to a Maple thence S 23 ½ E 4.00 to a pine 
Knot thence s 27 E 4.90 to a poplar thence s 36 E 4.00 to a rock & Pine Knot 
thence s 64 E 22.30 to the beginning corner Containing Seventy-Six & 3/5 acres 
more or less   To have and to hold the Same together with all the rights 
members and appurtenances thereunto belonging unto the Said James O Wood his 
heirs and assigns forever in as full and ample a manner as the Same was Seized 
possessed and enjoyed by the said Michael A. Borders at the time of his death.
In Witness Whereof I the Said John W Pruitt as administrator as aforesaid have 
hereunto Set my hand and affixed my Seal this Sixth day of October Eighteen 
Hundred and Seventy-Seven
