Homer Banks Co Ga   May 20th 1881
Five Months after date I promise to pay J. J. Anderson or bearer the Sum of 
Seventy and 90/100 Dollars for value received with interest at eight percent 
after maturity, and ten percent attorney fees on principal and interest in case 
of collection by suit. And to secure the payment of this note I hereby Mortgage 
and convey unto the said payee his heirs and assigns the following described 
property, to wit:  on Seventy five Acres of land in said state and County 
bounded by lands of J M Cochran Berry Whitfield William Murry & others. This 
note being given for supplies &c to enable me to make my crop 1881.  And for 
the consideration aforesaid I hereby for myself and family expressly waive all 
rights and exemptions which by the laws of the United States and of the State 
of Georgia are allowed to me and to my family in any of said described property 
and all other property, seal or personal which I now own or may hereafter own 
or acquire except such as may be mentioned in Section 3 of Article IX of the 
Constitution of 1877 until this debt is fully paid Witness my hand and seal the 
day and year above written
