Stepter a Justice of the Peace Duly authorized to administer oaths Within & for the State County aforesaid Thomas F. Anderson aged Seventy years a Resident of Jackson County in the State of Georgia Who being Duly Sworn according to Law Declares that he is the Identical Thomas F. Anderson who was a Captain & Commanded a Rifle Company in the Redgement of Georgia Malitia Commanded by Col. William Jones in the War with Great Britain Declared on the 18th of June 1812 that he Volunteered at Carnesville ------------- on or about the day of AD 1814 for the Term of Six Months & Continued in above Service in Said War for the Term of Six months & some days And was honorably Discharged a fort hawkins on the day of May AD 1815 as Will appear by Reference to the Muster Roals of Said Company & Redgement Never Recd a Writen Dyscharge he Makes this Declaration for the Purpose of obtaining the Bounty Land to which he may be Entitled under the act Granting Bounty Land to certain officers & soldiers who have been Engaged in the Military Service of the united States Passed the 28th of September 1850. T. F. Anderson Sworn to & subscribed before me the Day & year above Writen & I hereby Certify that I believe the Said Thomas F. Anderson to be the Identical Man who served as aforesaid & that he is of the age above Stated. Thomas L. Stapter JP State of Georgia } County of Franklin } on this the seventh day of April AD 1855 before me the undersigned a Justice of the Peace within and for the County and state aforesaid duly authorized by Law to administer oaths. Personally appeared Thomas F. Anderson aged Seventy three years a Resident of the County of Jackson in the State of Georgia who after being duly sworn according to Law Declares that he is the Identical Thomas F. Anderson who was a Captain Commanding a Company of Georgia Volunteers in the Redgement Commanded by Col. Jones In the War with Grate Briton Declared by the United States on on the 18th day of June 1812 That he volunteered in the County of Franklin in the State of Georgia and entered the service of the united states At Fort Hawkins in the State of Georgia on or about the the 10th day of October 1814 for the term of six Months and continued in actual service in said War for the term of about six Months and was Honorably Discharged at Milledgeville in the state of Georgia on or about the Last of March 1815 as will apper from the muster roll of said Company and the proof on file with his former application for Bounty land. That he has hertofore made application for Bounty Land under the act of September 28th 1850 and received a Land Warrant Viz No ____ Which he has since Legally disposed of and Cannot now return. He makes this Declaration for the purpose of obtaining the additional bounty land to which he may be entitled under the act approved the 3rd day of March 1855 That he has never applied for or Receieved under this or any former act of Congress any bounty Land Warrant Except the one above mentioned. He hereby appoints D.G. Candler Esq his true and Lawful Attorney to prosecute this his Claim for bounty Land to receive his certificate or Warrant when Issued and to do all other acts necessary and proper in the primises Thomas F. Anderson Witness We Hardy Strickland and Abram Atkins Residents of The Cpounty of Jackson in the State of Georgia upon our oaths Declare that the foregoing Declaration was signed and Acknowledged by Thomas F. Anderson in our presents And that we believe from the appearance and statements Of the applicant that he is the Identical person that he Represents himself to be and that we are not Interested in This Claim Witness Abram Atkins Hardy Strickland The foregoing Declaration and affidavits were sworn to And subscribed before me on the day and year first above Writen and I certify that I know the affients to be Creditable persons and that the Clament is the Identical Person that he represents himself to be and that I am Not Interested in this his Claim Micah Willson JP State of Georgia } County of Jackson } I P F Hinton Clerk of the Superior Court within and for The County and State aforesaid do hereby Certify that Micah Willson Esq before whom the foregoing Declaration and affidavits ware made and acknowledged and who has thereunto subscribed his name was at the time of so doing a Justice of the peace Within and for the county and state aforesaid duly Commissioned and sworn and that his signature there to is Genuine and that I am not Interested in this claim.
