Anderson In the ~ Ridgment of First class Georgia Volunteers Commanded by Col. Jones in the Ware Declared By the United States a Gainst Great Brittian on the 18 Day of June 1812 That he volunteered on or a Bout the 15 of Nov ember 1814 and Was Muster in to the United States Service at Fort Hawkins on or a Bout the 30 Day of November 1814 for the turm of Six Months and continued in the Actual Survis in Said ware for fourteen Days and was honerably Discharged at Fort hawkins on the 23 day of April or thare a Bouts 1815. that he Has hearto fore Made Application for Bounty Land under the act of 28 September 1850 and Received a Land warrant for 80 Acres No. ~ which he has Since Legally Disposed of and cannot now Return ~ He Makes this Declaration for the Purpose of obtaining the Additionall Bounty Land to which he may bee Entitled under the act Approved March 3, 1855. He also Declares that he has never Applide for Nor Received under this nor any other Act of Congress any Bounty Land warrant Except the one a Bove Mentioned. He also Appoints B.R. Meaders of Lee Co Habersham Co and State of Georgia his agent To receive his warent when given. Barnea Meaders (seal) Wee Christopher Meaders and D. P. Quillian residents of Habersham County in the State of Georgia upon (back) on our oaths Declare that the foregoing Declaration was Sined and acknowledged by Barney Meaders in our Presents and that wee Beleve from the Appearance and Statement of the aplicant that hee is the Identicle Pursen hee represents him Self to Bee and wee are Disenter~ Ested witneses and have no interest in the Prosection Of the a bove clame Christopher Meaders O. Loggins, Clerk IC ------------------------------------------------------------- State of Georgia } on this the Eighteenth Day County of Habersham } of February in the year one thousand Eight hundred and fifty Six Personally appeared Before Me A Justice of the Peace within and for Said county and State - Barney Meaders Who Being duly Sworn Acording to law Declares and Deposeth on oath in Explination of His Declaration No. 116.974 and In Compliance with a notice from the Pensions Office in Regard to his Declaration Filed in the Pension office for Additional Bounty Land for Survises under in the Ware with Great Britten Declared in the year 1812 In Regard to Discimetarely in Signatures in Present and Former Declarations ~ that His hand has Become So Palsied that he can Scarecly Rite his name at all and he does not Recollect whether he tride to rite it on the Present Decleration or Told Some one Else Presant to rite it for him nor does he recollect whher He made his Mark to it or not ~ But it his Declaration filed By his Signature Being acknowledged By him Self as Genuine And that he Makes this Additional Affidavid in an of obtaining the Additional Bounty Land to which he May Be Entitled under the act of Congress passed March 3, 1855. Sworn to and Subscribed Before Me the Day and year above ritten his Barney X Meaders Mark State of Georgia Habersham County } I Philip Martin Clerk of the Superior Court in the County and State aforesaid do hereby certify That Ira Smith before whom the foregoing affidavit was (back) made and taken is and was at ???? all of the Same a Justice of the peace in an for Said County duly authorised by law to administer Oaths and take acknowledgements and that the name thereunto Subscribed is his genuine Signature I am not interested in thlaim In testimony whereof I have hereunto Subscribed my name and affixed My official Seal this 22nd day Of February A.D. 1856 Philip Martin Clerk S.C. State of Georgia } County of Franklin } on this the sixth day of December A.D. one thousand Eight Hundred and fifty Personaly appeared before me a Justice of the peace within and for said County and state aforesaid Barney Meaders aged Sixty Six years a Resident of the county of Frankilin and state of Georgia who being duly sworn according to Law Declares that he is the Identic -al Barney Meaders who was a Private soldier in the Company Commanded by Captain Thomas F. Anderson Deponent does not recolect the number of his Redgement it was the first Batalion of said Redgement Commanded by Lieut Col William Jones of Georgia Voluntears Commanded by Major Genl Macentosh in the ware with Great Briton Declared by the United States A D one thousand Eight hundred and Twelve That he volunteared in the copunty of Franklin and state of Georgia on or about the Eleventh day of November A D one thousand Eight hundred and Fourteen for the term of six months and Continued in actual service in said ware for the Term of Five Months and Eleven days and was Honorably Discharged at Fort Hawkins in the state of Georgia on or about the First day of May A D one thousand Eight hundred and Fifteen That no Sertificate of Discharge was asked for or Received. He makes this Declaration for the purpose of obtaining the bounty lands to which he may be entitled under the act grant bounty land to certain officers and soldiers who have been engaged in the military service of the United States passed September 28th 1850. his Barney X Meaders mark Sworn to and subscribed before me the day and year above writen and I do hereby Certify that I (back) Believe the said barney meaders to be the Identical man who served as afforesaid and that he is of the Age above stated.
