Banks County Journal, Feb. 1. 1946
MRS. J. C. AYERS, aged 75 years, passed peacefully away at her home in Alto last 
Monday after an illness lasting more than a year.
	Funeral services were held at the Level Grove Baptist Church and 
interment was in the church cemetery.  Rev. Curtis Carpenter and Rev. S. A. 
Pless officiating.
	The deceased is survived by the following relatives:  A husband, J. C. 
Ayers; 4 daughters, Mrs. Henry Oakes of Gainesville, Mrs. G. O. Keesee of Alto, 
Mrs. Leman Allen and Mrs. William Wilson of Cornelia; 1 brother, Wade Davis of 
Gainesville, Texas; 2 sisters, Mrs. R. C. Moss of Atlanta and Mrs. Lula 
Holbrooks of Carnesville.
	She was a lifelong Baptist and a good Christian woman.
