Edna Mize Blasingame, 83, of Toccoa, GA died Thursday, April 5, 2001.
Born September 29, 1917, in Banks County, she was a daughter of the late 
Joseph A. and Ida Wilson Mize. She had lived most of her life in Toccoa.
She was an active member of Toccoa First Baptist Church, where she was active 
in all phases of Sunday School activiies.  She had served as Vacation Bible 
School director, was WMU director and was honored by the church in 1993 as 
Church Woman of the Year.  She was a member of the Toccoa Garden Club and was 
the former president of the Big A School PTA.
Survivors include her husband, Truman Blasingame of Toccoa;son & daughter in 
law: Woody & Jennifer Blasingame of Toccoa; her sister, Sallie Mize Rochester 
of Atlanta.
Funeral services were held Monday from Toccoa First Baptist Church with Dr. 
Henry Fields and Dr. Jim Nelson officiating.  Interment followed in Stephens 
Memorial Gardens.
