Obituary of Rainey Chastine 1813-1997 Banks County, GA TRIBUTE OF RESPECT FOR RAINY CHASTINE IN BANKS COUNTY NEWSPAPERS: "The Weekly Banner-Watchman," and the "Jackson Herald" Harmony Grove Lodge, No. 294 F & A.M. We the committee appointed to draft suitable resolutions in the death of our worthy brother, Rainy Chastine,k submit the following: Whereas our heavenly Father, whose wisdom is unsearchable, and whose loving kindness is inexhautible, has seen fit to remove by death our much beloved and highly esteemed brother and co-worker, Rainy Chastine, who was born in Greenville County, S.C., March 22nd, 1813, and died in Banks County, Ga., october 9th, 1887, and was made a Mason in 1863 - A.L. 587?; and whereas, our deceased brother has by his indomitable zeal and faithful labors, won our utmost confidence and love, therefore, be it resolved: 1st. That in the death of Brother Chastine this lodge has lost one of its most faithful memebers and ernest workers in the great and grand cause of free and accepted Masons. 2nd. That we condole with the bereaved family of our deceased brother in their irreparable loss, and sad bereavement; that we commend them to him and gave and who has taken away. 3rd. That this lodge be draped in mourning for thirty days in memory of our deceased brother. 4th. That this lodge of F. & A.M. act apart a page in this book of records, sacred to the memory of our worthy deceased brother, and cause the same to be written therein, stating his birth, death, etc. 5th.
