  Death claimed Mrs. H. W. Gordon, 92 year old resident of the Webbs Creek 
Community on August 11,  when after a year's illness she passed away at the 
home of her daughter, Mrs. T. G. Fleming near Commerce, GA.  
    Funeral services were held August 13 from the Webbs Creek Baptist Church 
with Rev. Bobby Hill officiating.  Burial was in the church yard.
    Born in South Carolina, Mrs. Gordon, the former Liza Jane Eugenia Wilson, 
was a daughter of the late Rev. James Jackson and Mary Martin Wilson.  On Feb. 
20, 1879, she married Henry Walker Gordon, who preceded her to the grave.
    Survivors include her children:  Mrs. T. G. (Mary) Fleming, Commerce, Mrs. 
H. G. (Kate) Aderhold, Culverton, GA, Mrs. J. C. (Ethel) McDonald, Eldorado, 
Ark, Mrs. E. B. (Lillie Mae) Duncan, Atlanta, H. R. Gordon of Commerce, and a 
brother, W. G. Wilson, Eastanollee, GA.
    B. D. Ginn was in charge of funeral arrangements.
