She was the daughter of the late Otis and Eula Mae Simmons Chambers. She was a retired seamstress from Barrow Manufacturing Company, Maysville, was Baptist, and was a member of Grove Level Baptist Church, Maysville. Mrs. Hembree was preceded in death by her husband, Bruce Hembree; two brothers, Farris Chambers and Junior Chambers; a sister, Louise C. Bruce; and an infant daughter, Angela Hembree. Survivors include three sons and daughters-in-law, Larry and Inez Hembree, Terry and Brenda Hembree, all of Maysville, and Travis and Fran Hembree, Cumming; one daughter and son-in-law, Brenda and Tim Blackmon, Dewey Rose; a sister, Edna Bruce, Commerce; five grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and two future great-grandchildren. Funeral services were held Saturday, August 26, in the chapel of Little-Ward Funeral Home with the Revs. Bill Manus and Kevin Denton officiating. Burial was in the Grove Level Baptist Church cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association or to the American Diabetes Association. Little-Ward Funeral Home, Commerce, was in charge of arrangements.
