Mr. Kesler received a fractured skull and a broken leg when the car in front of which he was standing was struck by a truck driven by Hammond Jones, of Mt. Airy. The accident occurred on the Commerce-Homer highway near Carter's store. Kesler was brought to the Commerce hospital by the Little-Ward ambulance and then carried to Atlanta. Funeral services were held at 2 o'clock Sunday afternoon from the Prospect church in Franklin County, the Rev. Fletcher Durham officiating. Interment was in the churchyard with Little-Ward Funeral Directors in charge. In addition to his mother, he is survived by three brothers, Boyd Kesler, of the U. S. Army overseas; Fred Kesler, U. S. Army, of Camp Croft, S. C., and Morris Kesler, of Homer and four sisters, Misses Louise and Francine Kesler, of Gainesville and Misses Reba and Idell Kesler, of Homer.
