Banks County News, November 6, 2002 
Thomas K. Kesler Sr., 80, of Homer, died Sunday, November 3, 2002, at his 
residence.
Mr. Kesler was born January 11, 1922, in Franklin County, a son of the late 
Russell D. and Dora Kelly Kesler.

He retired from Athens Tech and was a member of New Bethel Baptist Church. Mr. 
Kesler also attended Homer United Methodist Church. He was a World War II 
veteran, serving in the U.S. Army.  Mr. Kesler was preceded in death by his 
wife, Virginia Ford Kesler.

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, November 5, in the chapel of 
Little-Ward Funeral Home, Commerce, with the Rev. Jim McLendon and Dr. Tommy 
Childress officiating. Burial was in Jackson Memorial Gardens, Commerce.

Survivors include one son, Tommy Kesler, Mobile, Ala.; three daughters, Susan 
Childress, Sylva, N.C., Sandra Garrison, Homer, and Elizabeth Williams, 
Nicholson; one brother, Curtis Kesler, Walnut Creek, Calif.; one sister, 
Celeste Spears, Fort Walton Beach, Fla.; and 12 grandchildren.
Little-Ward Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
