Obituary
Departed this life, at his residence in Banks county, on the 28th inst., 
Donald McDonald, aged 93 years and 9 months.  He had been for over 60 years 
an exemplary member of the Presbyterian church.  As a citizen, he was 
respected by all who knew him.  A kind and indulgent father and affectionate 
husband, his loss will be deeply lamented by a numerous circle of relatives 
and friends.  As a church member, his place cannot be filled; and he 
exemplified in his life, as well as his death, the character of a true and 
devoted christian.  Deeply devoted to the cause of the South, we could only 
wish that his life had been spared to see the termination of the strife.  
But he has gone to receive that welcome plaudit," Well done, good and 
faithful servant; enter thou into the joys of thy Lord."           M.
