Commerce News Feb. 25 1954
Mrs. Martha Threlkeld Parsons, 94, widow of C. E. Parsons, died at the 
residence of her grandson, C. P. Vaughn, following an extended illness.

She was born in Madison County and was a member of Silver Shoals Baptist 
Church.  Her husband preceeded her to the grave in 1921.

Funeral services were held at 3 o'clock Sunday afternoon from the Mt. Carmel 
Baptist Church, the Rev. George Collins officiating.  Internment was in the 
Parsons cemetery.

Sanders Funeral Directors were in charge of arrangements.

She is survived by a son, Joe H. Parsons of Maysville; and a daughter, Mrs. 
Maggie Parsons Vaughn of Commerce; 18 grandchildren, 28 great grandchildren, 
and 11 great, great grandchildren.
