Mr. Meriwether PARSONS, an old and repected citizen of
this community, died at his home in the Poplar 

Springs district last Saturday and was laid to rest in
the family burying ground on Sunday.  Mr. Parsons was 
about seventy-five years old.  He leave one son, Mr.
Rella Parsons, and many grandchildren to mourn his
death



Transcribed from undated newspaper clipping which I
believe is the Banks County Journal.  The date I have
found in other sources in 11/19/1906.

Meriwether Parsons was a member of CSA CO A 24th Regt
GA Volunteer Infantry-Army of N. Virginia-"Independent
Volunteers" from Banks County.
