Notes for THOMAS RALPH SEGARS: Anderson Independent- Mail Tuesday November 03, 1959 Thomas R. Segars Carnesville, GA -- Thomas Ralph Segars, 84, Carnesville Rt. 1, Bold Springs Community, died at 10 a.m. Monday in the Commerce Hospital following an extended illness. He was born in Banks County March 14, 1875. He was a member of Bold Springs Methodist Church, where he served as steward for many years. He was a well- known farmer of that Community having retired a few years ago. His wife, Mrs. Lizzie Mize Segars, preceded him to the grave. Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. W. H. Bellamy and Mrs. L.C. Sparks, both of Carnesville Rt. 1; four sons, the Rev. J. W. Segars, Griffin, GA., the Rev. R. F. Segars, West Point, GA., M. C. Segars, Carnesville, Rt. 1; four grandsons, two great-grandchildren; one sister, Miss Lou Segars of Commerce. Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday at 2 p.m. from the Bold Springs Church with the Rev. W. E. Edwards, the Rev. Paul a. Turner and the Rev. Claude Hendricks officiating. Burial will follow in Bold Springs Cemetery. The body now at Sanders Funeral Home, will be placed in the church at 1 p.m., an hour before the services.
