VERA AUSBURN GREENVILLE - Mrs. Vera Westbrooks Ausburn, 74, of Rt. 8, Greenville, the Powdersville section of Anderson County, widow of Mack Ausburn, died in a Greenville nursing home at 5:30 p.m. Tuesday following several years of declining health and one month of serious illness. Mrs. Ausburn was born in Franklin County, Ga., a daughter of the late Pleasant and Dora Murray Westbrooks. She had lived in Greenville for 17 years prior to moving to the Powdersville section 29 years ago. She was a member of the Siloam Baptist Church and the Mothers Class of the Sunday School. Survivors; step-mother, Mrs. Ella Mae Westbrooks of Banks County, Ga.; son, Homer H. Ausburn of Greenville; brother, Tom Westbrooks of Palestine, Ark.; four sisters, Mrs. Josie Head of Phoenix, Ariz., Mrs. Gladys Stockton, Mrs. Nellie Johnson, Mrs. Alice Phillips, all of Greenville; two half-sisters, Mrs. Ora Bell Waters and Mrs. Fannie Fountain, both of Commerce; four half- brothers, Ford Westbrooks of Homer, Ga., Delynn Westbrooks of Toccoa, Ga., Sam and Bill Westbrooks, both of Banks County; seven grandchildren; four great- grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Thursday at 3 p.m. at Siloam Baptist Church with the Revs. Jack Ward and W. F. Lister officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. The body is at Robinson Funeral Home and will be taken to the home of a son, Homer, on Roe Road, in the Powdersville Community.
