Virginia Thomason Gaddis, 92, of Winder, died Monday, September 4, 2006.

Born in White County, she was the daughter of the late John W. and Mary Gooch 
Thomason. She was a retired seamstress with Empire Manufacturing Company. Mrs. 
Gaddis was preceded in death by her husband, Hubert Gaddis; a daughter, Betty 
Joy Brock in 1967; and a son, Harold Gaddis in 2006.

Survivors include a daughter, Juanita Gaddis Flanagan, Hull; daughter-in-law, 
Delores Gaddis, Dacula; grandchildren, Joyce Lee and Eugene Brock, both of 
Winder, Chris Gaddis, Auburn, and Evonne Gaddis, Monroe; thirteen great-
grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were held Wednesday, September 6, in the chapel of Carter 
Funeral Home with the Rev. Chris D. Gaddis officiating. Burial was at Union 
Baptist Church cemetery.

Carter Funeral Home, Winder, was in charge of arrangements.
