GORDON PASSES AT WINDER. Winder, Ga., August 5- The body of George W. Gordon, who died at his home in Winder Tuesday, was carried to Beaverdam church in Jackson county Friday morning for funeral and interment. Mr. Gordon, who was 82 years old, was a native of Jackson county, but had lived here for the past 25 years. He enlisted in the sixteenth Georgia regiment and served in Virginia during the four years of the civil war, being one of the few Confederate veterans in this county. Besides his widow he is survived by the following children: Mrs. R. E. Strange, of Atlanta; Mrs. C. S. Bates, Pawnee, Okla.; Mrs. E. B. Hadsall, Houston, Texas; Mrs. Roas [?] Lee Booth, Athens, and Miss Maude Gordon, of Winder, and one stepson, S. H. Parr, Los Angeles, Calif.
