Lera B. Lane, 88, of Winder, died Saturday, June 17, 2006.

Born in Hall County, she was the daughter of the late Robert and Oma Jane L. 
Young. She was a retired beautician and housewife, and a member of the Council 
of the Blind. Mrs. Lane was preceded in death by her husband, Edward L. Lane.

Survivors include a daughter, Elizabeth Ann Dean, Hull; grandchildren, John 
Will Dean and Jay Walter Dean.

Graveside services were held Tuesday, June 20, with the Revs. Billy Ray Banks 
and Jack Smith officiating. Burial was in Carl Baptist Church Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made to Foundation the Fighting Blindness, 
Executive Plaza 1, Suite 800, 11350 McCormick Rd., Hunt Valley, Md. 21031-1014.

Smith Funeral Home, Winder, was in charge of arrangements.
